Redo Microtia Reconstruction: Case 2

Description

This patient had his left ear reconstructed in several surgical stages at a major metropolitan university hospital. He was very disappointed with his result. He would grow his hair long to try to hide his deformed ear. He eventually found Dr. Griffiths. Dr. Griffiths was able to completely rebuild his right ear in a single surgical stage utilizing additional rib cartilage as a framework. This procedure was completed in 2002 and was Dr. Griffiths' first single stage redo microtia reconstruction.
