Redo Microtia Reconstruction: Case 1

Description

This 9 year old boy underwent reconstruction of his left ear in 3 separate stages at a major metropolitan university hospital in California. He was referred to that surgeon by his pediatrician who had just completed a residency there. His family trusted their pediatrician and they traveled to California for each surgical stage at additional expense. He was very unhappy with the results of his surgery in California. His family was referred to Dr. Griffiths for a revision. His left microtia was rebuilt by Dr. Griffiths in a single operation. The photos on the right were taken 1 year postoperatively. He is now very proud of his new ear.
